Scene from Airplane II:
Elaine the stewardess tells the passengers: "We're off course by a tad. In space terms a tad is 1mm miles." No reaction by the passengers.
"The bumps you feel are asteroids smashing into the hull of our space ship." No reaction.
A passenger asks: "Are you telling us the whole truth."
Elaine: "Not exactly. We're also out of coffee."
Pandemonium ensues.
Greece next week:
PM says, "My fellow Greeks, we are bankrupt." No reaction.
"We got into the EU by lying and cheating. We should not have been allowed into the EU." No reaction.
"Going forward we are going to have to live a life of hard work, paying taxes, and being upstanding citizens who don't cheat or steal from the government and our lenders."
Pandemonium ensues.
