Tourist in a our own city

Due to a Hyatt promotion, we had a night at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. It was our chance to experience some sites we hadn't seen before. Because the weather was poor, we didn't get to do as much as hoped, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

We had a nice dinner at the upscale Seven. Actually, I tricked/bribed the kids to go to a high end steak/sushi restuarant with the fact that Coldstone Creamery was across the street.

Post dinner and ice cream, we took a walk around Loring Park.

The next day, Emily took us on a tour of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (she had been there with the second grade).

After a swim in the hotel pool, we headed to the ... pub of course. Brits Pub is one of the more famous establishments in downtown. We weren't there for the beer (although that helped), but rather the lawn bowling. It's like Bocchi - I'm told.

Emily and I faced off against Katie and Alison. Although a very close match, Alison and Katie won 11-10.
